UK Newcomer is an independent settling-in information app designed to help people who are new to the United Kingdom access useful information, checklists and links to relevant services.
UK Newcomer is independently operated and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official service of the UK Government, GOV.UK, the NHS, Citizens Advice, or any other organisation linked to within the app.
UK Newcomer does not require you to create an account.
The app does not ask you to provide sensitive personal information such as your National Insurance number, passport details, bank account credentials, NHS number or immigration documents.
Information you enter or select as part of setting up and using the app, such as your setup choices and checklist progress, is stored locally on your device to provide the app’s personalised features.
UK Newcomer does not operate a user account or cloud-sync service for this information.
Locally stored information is used to remember your selections, personalise relevant parts of the app and keep track of your checklist progress.
UK Newcomer contains links to external websites and services, including GOV.UK, NHS services, Citizens Advice, job websites, accommodation websites, transport providers and financial institutions.
When you choose to open an external website, that website may collect or process information according to its own privacy policy. UK Newcomer does not control the privacy practices or content of third-party websites.
The current version of UK Newcomer does not contain advertising or third-party analytics services.
If advertising, analytics or other services that affect the handling of user data are introduced in a future version, this Privacy Policy will be updated as appropriate.
Information stored locally by UK Newcomer remains on your device unless it is removed through the app where applicable, the app’s data is cleared, or the app is uninstalled.
Because UK Newcomer does not currently provide user accounts or cloud storage, there is no remote user account or associated cloud data for UK Newcomer to delete.
UK Newcomer is not specifically designed for children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
